Preparing for yet another assignment, thinking about Christmas, decorating the house, planning worship, working through the family budget and oh yes, the kitchen are all part of my normal Monday activities.
This time of year can be so much more stressful than most of us would like. Changes in attitudes, focus, and personal energy can add to either the stress or the joy of the season.
I’m not new to change. In any given day or moment life’s little bumps in the road can see me either kicking it into gear or crawling back under the covers for warmth and comfort.
Being able to navigate through the trenches is just as important as driving along a clear highway.
My own road has changed yet again. How I respond to those changes is a clear indication to me as to the importance of those changes.
Sometimes we can’t choose when or if.
Sometimes we can no longer closer our eyes and wait for an unethical situation to change.
Sometimes we have to take the wheel and just gun it.
Have you ever felt like that?
In church yesterday we sang about joy. We heard about joy and we were encouraged to find joy even in the darkest of moments.
Where will you find joy today?
No, this is not a picture of anyone related to me but made me smile when I saw it. Such joy in innocence!
Sending hugs and blessings,
Doll
