Psalm 46:10
New International Version (NIV)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
This is my intention today: Be Still!
One of the most difficult things I do is to be still. My body might not be moving but mind is constantly searching or filled will worry and anxiety. I know that the level of stress I put on my self far out-weighs the actual stress in my life.
I am learning to plan my day and my time in such a way that tasks get completed and that I end the day feeling like I’ve accomplished something.
Be still! The plan has been made. Execute each step as it comes.
What I can, I will do. The rest will wait.
I breathe. I sigh. I pray.
I am still.
It is the “Stillness” that draws us, and slowly makes us aware.
Being still goes against the mindset of modern society. However, it is so necessary! It is also a direct command from God, as you remind us here. Sounds weird, but it’s the times I am still where I accomplish the most : )
I agree. I also am more productive when I can still my mind.
